This casa is simply stunning. If I could award 10 stars, I would. House is lovely, well laid out and thoughtfully appointed. The view is amazing. Great place.
Amazing stay while in the Big Bend State Park area. Rugged and remote, yet safe, luxurious, and close enough to a little town if you need a meal or groceries. The house has everything you need for a relaxing stay. Probably the most comfortable bed of any AirBnB I e ever slept in. Lauren was a great host - always a quick message away with answers to our questions.
I looked high and low for the perfect place to pop the question and this was it - such an incredible place she couldn't have said no!
Beautifully decorated, very clean and views like no other.
This place is perfect! Great location next to Presidio and nearby stores. The scenery is breathtaking. Plus all the cupboards were fully stocked with nice dishwater and food items. Overall I give the place 5 stars!
Second stay — and everything is as excellent as it was the first time we we were there. It feels like a privilege to get to see the photo-worthy views of the Rio Grande. Seriously, you cannot miss La Centinela if you love the Big Bend as much as we do!
On top of the views, the atmosphere and the overall beauty of the house and property, it’s just so wonderful to have a refuge in the desert, during your stay. La Centinela is always perfectly clean. The beds are comfortable! The showers are hot and the water is plentiful. Lauren, your host, is great, very accommodating and always easy to communicate with.
You must not miss out on a stay at La Centinela.
Simply incredible. Whether you are looking for a calming secluded place to get away from it all, or fast access to everything Big Bend Ranch State Park has to offer - La Centinela is the place you are searching for in the Big Bend area. Experience life at the casual speed of a fading sunset, and the unwavering optimism of an invigorating sunrise.
The accommodations are equally matched by the hosts who are some of the most gracious, kind, and helpful people you will ever meet. Be sure to ask about things to do, places to eat, and the rich history of the property and surrounding area - they have a wealth of local information and are willing to share it openly.
Just, book, it.
